APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
The school will be accepting ten students. Please submit a completed application form, examples of film work, along with a short biography, to “Atelier Gartengasse,” before October 8, 2011 application deadline. Please include a current telephone number. On October 8, film work may be submitted from 6 to 9 pm, directly at the school. Personal interviews will take place on October 9 and October 11, by appointment only.
COSTS
€ 180 / Month (The full cost of € 1,440 has to be paid when the course starts) A deposit of € 300 is charged for the use of the school cameras.
The FILMKOOP WIEN (1080; Wickenburggasse 15/3/1B), founded by alumni of the school, is a lab for hand processing film. After paying a membership fee of €25 per month, students of the INDEPENDENT FILM CLASS can work at the lab. Students may continue to use the space, as well as all equipment (including chemicals necessary for hand processing film), after graduating from the school.
